Pavilion at an Intersection

Fall 2018
UC Berkeley — advised by Jennifer Ly

This project retains the spatial qualities of a previous intersection study, developing its form to create an occupiable space with additional considerations of site and circulation. The pavilion arcs over the intersection of a bicycle and pedestrian path with winding steps allowing access to the main elevated areas. Two large gathering spaces, an open-air terrace and an enclosed hall, cantilever over the northeast quadrant of the park. A continuous stair connects the two.
